Biography
Anthony T. Ballato has maintained a diverse litigation and general practice for more than twenty-six years, handling a wide range of legal matters including family law, personal injury, professional malpractice, lemon law, business transactions, cell sites, municipal law, animal law, elder fraud and abuse, real estate, estates, and various other areas. His litigation experience spans from small homeowner-contractor disputes to high-stakes multi-million dollar tort cases. He has been featured in Newsday, The Seattle Times, The New York Law Journal, VerdictSearch, and other prominent publications. Anthony has also delivered lectures for the Bar Associations of Nassau and Suffolk County and has made appearances on public television stations. He graduated from Touro Law School in 1988 and actively engages with the alumni community, serving as a mentor to law students. Anthony has held roles such as adjunct professor in the paralegal program at the New York Institute of Technology, general counsel for the Massapequa Water District, associate counsel for the Manhasset-Lakeville Water and Fire Districts, and hearing officer for the Town of Oyster Bay. He also serves as an arbitrator in Lemon Law proceedings, a member of the Surrogate Decision Making Committee for the Mentally Disabled, a court Referee, a trustee of the Jones Fund Adult Home in Bayville. Additionally, he has provided pro bono legal counsel to Nassau-Suffolk Law Services, various religious institutions, and nonprofit organizations. Anthony is an active member of multiple Bar Associations in New York, New Jersey, and Georgia. He holds an officer position in the Columbian Lawyers Association and is associated with various charitable organizations. Anthony's dedication to representing the underprivileged stems from his early clerkship experience at Nassau-Suffolk Law Services during law school. Since establishing his own solo law practice in 1995, Mr. Ballato has been a strong advocate for less fortunate individuals and victims of significant fraud cases.
