Biography

Ephraim Jacob (‘E.J.”) Fink has been actively involved in litigation within the Connecticut and New York court systems since the year 2000. With a background in representing numerous insurance carriers, policyholders, corporations, product manufacturers, and healthcare facilities in cases involving negligence and contract disputes, EJ transitioned to a boutique firm specializing in personal injury, family law/divorce, estate, and trust litigation. EJ completed his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, majoring in journalism. Subsequently, he pursued his Juris Doctor (JD) degree at New England Law-Boston, where his exceptional academic performance led to an associate editor role at the New England Journal on Criminal and Civil Confinement. During his time in law school, EJ participated in a prosecution clinic, where he had the opportunity to conduct a DUI bench trial under the supervision of the District Attorney’s office. He initiated his legal career by serving as a law clerk for the Superior Court of Connecticut, contributing to the drafting of judicial opinions across a wide spectrum of cases, with a focus on criminal law, including research related to the Skakel-Moxley case.

EJ further refined his litigation skills over a span of more than seven years at a prominent insurance defense firm, managing cases from inception through trial in various areas such as negligence, professional liability, product liability, labor and employment disputes, commercial contract conflicts, and medical malpractice claims across multiple boroughs in New York City. Additionally, EJ defended hospitals in the New York City area during Environmental Control Board hearings. A licensed attorney in both Connecticut and New York State, EJ is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts of Connecticut, New York’s Southern and Eastern Districts, and the Supreme Court of the United States. EJ’s practice is centered on providing comprehensive guidance to clients navigating legal matters, disputes, and processes, with a particular emphasis on alternative dispute resolution strategies.
