Biography

Mr. Pace has presented cases and made arguments in federal appellate courts across the nation and in various state supreme courts. His clientele has included current U.S. Senators, the Center for Constitutional Rights, the ACLU of NJ, and multiple emerging businesses. He possesses extensive experience in litigating diverse legal matters such as civil rights, freedom of speech, consumer protection, public records requests, class action suits, defamation cases, arbitration, commercial disputes, and personal injury claims. Before establishing J. Pace Law, Mr. Pace served as senior legal advisor at Reprieve US, overseeing the organization's litigation concerning First Amendment rights and national security. He held the Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest and Constitutional Law and worked as a litigation attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Mr. Pace clerked for Judge Swain in the Southern District of New York. He graduated from Yale Law School, where he served as an editor for the Yale Law Journal and was awarded the Potter Stewart Prize for outstanding written submissions and persuasive oral arguments in the Moot Court Finals. He earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard University.
