Biography
As a Litigator, my legal practice focuses on handling cases related to Insurance Coverage, Hazardous Substances, Environmental Issues, Product Liability, and Commercial Disputes. Specifically, I provide legal representation to landlords, small businesses including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, waste management companies, and dry cleaning establishments. Additionally, I defend businesses that are insured by insurance companies. With over twenty years of experience, I have successfully defended various litigation claims involving substances such as lead paint, mold, asbestos, benzene, ink, and other toxic torts and environmental issues, as well as disputes regarding insurance coverage and inter-insurance company conflicts. I regularly handle disputes involving commercial contracts, as well as conflicts among shareholders and partners of small businesses. I also served as external general counsel for a retail business. I hold a Master's Degree in Environmental Science, which equips me with a unique skill set to collaborate effectively with technical experts on scientific matters and to convey complex technical explanations and causation issues to courts and juries. My practice primarily consists of repeat clients, as I prioritize resolving matters in a cost-efficient manner that aligns with the best interests of my clients. Unlike many firms that focus on high volume, my practice emphasizes personalized service for technical cases at competitive rates. Since starting my legal career in 1987, I have been a partner at prominent law firms. In 2004, I established my own boutique firm to provide enhanced services to my longstanding clients and manage expenses to maintain competitive pricing. I handle cases in all courts across the greater New York area and northern New Jersey. At my firm, our main objective is to achieve cost-effective resolutions for litigation matters. I am recognized as a "Highly Recommended Insurance Attorney" by Bests, rated "AV" for ethical standards and legal proficiency by LexisNexis/Martindale Hubbell, and a nominated member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Furthermore, I share my knowledge by teaching business law and litigation as an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College.
