Biography
With a diverse background encompassing roles as a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, and academic focusing on appellate practice and civil and criminal procedure, I bring a wealth of experience to the legal field. Upon completing my studies at the University of Michigan Law School, I undertook a clerkship with a federal judge before embarking on a successful 5-year tenure as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Transitioning into academia, I served as a full-time law professor at Washington & Lee University before transitioning back to private practice in 1975, where I have continued to practice to this day. My legal expertise primarily lies in criminal and civil litigation, with a specialization in appeals. Additionally, I handle cases in family law, trusts & estates, wills, and provide general legal services.
