James Hacker - Profile

James Hacker graduated from Hamilton College in 1981 and completed his legal education at Albany Law School in 1984. He serves as a Trustee on the boards of both Hamilton College and Albany Law School. James is a distinguished member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an esteemed legal organization in North America that comprises top trial attorneys from the US and Canada through invitation only. He is also a respected fellow of the International College of Trial Lawyers, limited to 500 elite US trial lawyers by invitation only. Locally, James has held leadership positions as the former President of the Albany County Bar Association, Albany County Bar Foundation, and Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, where he was honored with the Annual “Daniel H. Mahoney” Award in 2016. Currently, he serves as a Regional Vice President at the New York State Trial Lawyers Academy and sits on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society for Northeastern New York.
