Biography
Joelle is a committed legal professional specializing in divorce mediation, acting as an impartial intermediary to facilitate mutually acceptable divorce agreements. Her method emphasizes fostering a supportive and respectful atmosphere that leads to optimal outcomes for all parties involved, including their children. With personal experience in divorce mediation, Joelle offers a distinctive viewpoint as both a practitioner and a former participant. This enables her to genuinely connect with clients and comprehend the emotional intricacies they encounter during mediation sessions. Upon completing the comprehensive forty-hour divorce mediation training program at The Center for Mediation and Training, Joelle established Peacemaker Divorce Mediation with the objective of guiding clients through the divorce process in a collaborative, harmonious, and cost-efficient manner. Beyond her practice, Joelle has taken on leadership roles within the field. She has served as the Past President of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation (“NYSCDM”), previously chaired the NYSCDM Nominating Committee, co-chaired the NYSCDM Education Committee, and acted as the Program Manager for the Long Island Collaborative Divorce Professionals. In addition to her mediation practice, Joelle previously held the position of Of Counsel at Ali Law Group P.C., a labor and employment law firm in Huntington, New York. She has occupied various significant positions, including Litigation Associate at The Law Offices of David Sutton P.C., Cuthbertson Law, Bingham McCutchen LLP, and Loeb & Loeb LLP, accumulating extensive experience in commercial litigation. Moreover, she served as Associate General Counsel for Hofstra University, overseeing critical legal matters for the institution. Joelle graduated with distinction from Hofstra University School of Law in 2000, where she was an active member of the Hofstra Law Review.
