Biography
Brian Heller, a Partner at Schwartz & Perry LLP, joined the firm after graduating from Fordham Law School in 2001. During his time at Fordham, he was involved with the Fordham Urban Law Journal and served as a mediator at the Bronx Small Claims Court. A graduate of Penn State University with Phi Beta Kappa honors, Mr. Heller possesses a strong background in various aspects of employment law, such as discrimination, sexual harassment, fraudulent inducement, contractual disputes, stock options, benefits, and workplace torts. He is a seasoned litigator, having Co-Chaired multiple trials, including both jury and non-jury trials in Federal and state courts. Mr. Heller has also handled numerous appeals in different appellate courts in New York State. Apart from litigation, he negotiates severance agreements, employment contracts, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, and provides counsel to employees facing workplace discrimination. Known for his research and writing skills, Mr. Heller contributes extensively to Schwartz & Perry LLP's practice. He is actively involved in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), representing employees in mediations sponsored by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), courts, and various private dispute resolution entities. Mr. Heller has represented individuals in arbitrations before The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
