Biography
With years of experience in Business Mediation, Arbitration, and Litigation, along with serving as an ADR Law Consultant, Educator, Author, and Public Speaker, I have a rich background in facilitating dispute resolution. As of 2016, I have officially stepped back from legal practice, no longer representing clients in an advocacy role. Since March 2023, I have also retired from my duties as a neutral business arbitrator and mediator, marking my complete withdrawal from active practice. My main mission has been to address the widespread lack of understanding among entrepreneurs, professionals, and business stakeholders, including attorneys, about the benefits of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). I am dedicated to shedding light on the advantages of ADR, steering individuals away from the often more costly and time-consuming path of traditional court litigation. I am eager to engage in conversations to dispel common myths and misconceptions surrounding ADR, which may stem from outdated or inaccurate information. I am well-equipped to guide individuals on when court litigation might be more appropriate or necessary, emphasizing that a one-size-fits-all approach does not apply in the realm of business dispute resolution. ADR empowers parties to actively participate in crafting customized solutions to their disputes, offering a more cost-effective, efficient, and satisfactory alternative to traditional litigation. My primary focus has been on Business-to-Business Arbitration and Mediation, complemented by my role as a mentor and educator in the field. It is important for legal practitioners and their clients to explore the realm of business ADR beyond the default option of court proceedings, which may be driven by familiarity rather than suitability.
