Biography
Terence O'Connor graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1980, where he was selected for Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa honors. During his pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree, he also studied at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. Terence obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1983. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and was recently acknowledged in the Best Lawyers in America directory. Additionally, he has been named as one of the top 50 lawyers in upstate New York by the Super Lawyers publication. Terence specializes in trial law, providing defense for physicians, manufacturers, and small businesses, among others. His work with physicians has encompassed a wide range of cases, from licensing disputes to wrongful death and birth trauma cases. In the manufacturing sector, he has defended automobile manufacturers and producers of everyday household goods. Terence has served as an appointed member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Medical Malpractice, in addition to his past roles as an arbitrator. He frequently speaks on trial practice and medical-legal matters for organizations such as the New York State Bar Association, Albany Law School, and Albany Medical Center Hospital. Previously, Terence was a member of the Council on Peer Review for the Dental Society of the State of New York.
