Biography
Renowned as one of the top legal advocates for 9/11 victims, Troy G. Rosasco has been dedicated to representing the 9/11 community since the aftermath of that fateful day. In October 2001, Troy was called upon to provide legal counsel to the family of a victim who perished in the tragic events. Through his expertise, he successfully secured substantial compensation and burial benefits for the family, foregoing his legal fees as he did with all his 9/11 cases in that period. With over two decades of experience, Troy continues to champion for 9/11 victims and their families, possessing the knowledge and skills required to secure maximum compensation from the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.
A graduate of Cornell University and St. John’s University School of Law, Troy is a prolific author on 9/11 claims procedures and is a frequent speaker at public events and legal conferences. He has appeared on major news networks such as NBC News, ABC News, and Fox News to provide insights on 9/11 claims. Troy’s legal expertise has been cited in publications like the NY Law Journal, NY Times, NY Daily News, and Newsday. Recognized by his peers as a “Super Lawyer” in mass and toxic torts, Troy is lauded for his representation of 9/11 first responders, residents, and workers exposed to toxins in Lower Manhattan.
Formerly an Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University School of Law, Troy taught courses on the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund and disability law. In a gesture of support for the 9/11 community, Troy and his wife have established the endowed Troy & Linda Rosasco 9/11 Memorial Scholarship at St. John’s School of Law to assist financially disadvantaged students. Drawing on his extensive background, Troy assists clients in navigating all 9/11-related legal claims linked to the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, encompassing Social Security Disability benefits, New York State Workers’ Compensation benefits, New York City and New York State disability retirement pensions, Public Safety Officers Benefits (PSOB), and various other entitlements.
