Biography
Richard completed his undergraduate studies at American University in Washington, D.C., focusing on finance and accounting in 1987. After a gap of three years, he pursued his legal education at the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, earning his Juris Doctor in 1993. Following a short stint as a clerk at the United States Attorney's Office in Las Vegas, Richard joined his father Melvyn Jacoby's practice in 1994. He is an active member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the National Consumer Bankruptcy Association.
