Biography
Mr. Westenhoefer is a lawyer licensed to practice law in the state of New York. In 1997, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he studied the Russian language at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center and resided and worked in Japan. While serving as an airborne cryptologic linguist, he fulfilled various roles including computer systems operator, UNIX-based systems administrator, and security manager in a sensitive compartmented information facility. He was responsible for managing resources on his squadron’s classified intranet, providing supervision and training on computer systems, and overhauling the training program for his career field, resulting in the receipt of the Air Force Commendation Medal for outstanding service. Upon transitioning to civilian life, Mr. Westenhoefer obtained Bachelor's Degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Economics, International Business, and minoring in Finance. In 2007, he achieved certification as an ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) based on his security experience in the military. His professional journey led him to work as a research analyst in the business-to-business technology industry at a company in Boston, Massachusetts, where he conducted research, authored and published studies, and provided advice to business leaders on industry trends and best practices. Subsequently, he pursued his legal education at Suffolk University Law School and established his own law practice in Brooklyn, New York, engaging in active courtroom litigation from the outset. Over the years, his legal practice has been primarily focused on matters related to business law and litigation.
