Biography

Since 1994, Robert Irving Miller Jr. has effectively represented businesses, healthcare professionals, and individuals in legal disputes, in courtrooms, and during appeals. His main areas of focus include defense against medical malpractice claims, health law, and all aspects related to the management of healthcare facilities. Mr. Miller's background in both the legal field and healthcare industry positions him as a strong advocate for hospitals, nursing homes, doctors, and other healthcare providers. He is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut, with additional authorization to represent clients in federal courts within the Northern and Southern Districts of New York.

Mr. Miller obtained his law degree from Pace University School of Law, where he served as the editor-in-chief of the Pace Law Review. Prior to his legal education, he pursued undergraduate studies in nursing and health services administration, along with a Master of Science degree in Management Science. His early professional experience in healthcare involved working as a registered nurse in emergency departments and critical care units. He subsequently held positions as the assistant administrator at Little Falls Hospital in Little Falls, New York, and as the Chief Operating Officer of Julia L. Butterfield Memorial Hospital in Cold Spring, New York. Additionally, he was a licensed nursing home administrator.

Mr. Miller is a frequent speaker and consultant on legal and healthcare-related topics, having served as an adjunct faculty member at institutions such as the New School for Social Research, Marist College, and Dutchess Community College. His teaching areas have covered community health, legal aspects of healthcare administration, civil litigation, and human resources management.
