Hardeep Shergill - Experienced Lawyer in New York

Hardeep Shergill became a part of the legal team at Jacob D.Fuchsberg Law Firm in 2023 as an associate lawyer, with a primary focus on civil liberties and medical negligence. Prior to her tenure at Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm, Hardeep worked at the Juvenile Rights Practice of Legal Aid Society for a span of five years, where she represented minors entangled in abuse and neglect cases. During her time at Legal Aid Society, Hardeep concentrated on cases linked to the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) and primarily aided marginalized children from Black and Brown communities who encountered difficulties in accessing legal services. She earned her B.A. degree from Baruch College, CUNY. Hardeep completed her J.D. from CUNY School of Law in 2017 with a partial scholarship. During her time at CUNY School of Law, Hardeep specialized in public interest law, enabling her to advocate for historically marginalized communities. At Jacob Fuchsberg Law Firm, Hardeep will play a pivotal role in expanding our pioneering sexual assault practice and will bring valuable perspectives to these intricate and impactful cases. Hardeep managed to successfully navigate law school while raising two young children, even giving birth to her youngest child while still in school. Beyond her professional pursuits, Hardeep finds joy in spending time with her children, engaging in running, exploring new destinations, and indulging in reading. Hailing from India, Hardeep is fluent in Punjabi and has a good understanding of Hindi and Urdu.
