Biography
With a strong background in various areas of legal disputes, Edward primarily focuses on civil litigation, estate planning, business law, senior citizen legal matters, entertainment law, constitutional law, and civil liberties law. Originally hailing from the Rio Grande Valley, he graduated from the inaugural class of the Science Academy of South Texas in 1996. Edward obtained his B.A. degree in Pre-Law/Theatre in 2001 from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. He later completed his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law in 2019. During his time at St. John's, he was the recipient of the Dean's Scholarship, received the Dean's Excellence Award on three occasions, and was consistently featured on the Dean's List. Edward completed his internship under the guidance of Hon. Vito Destefano.
In 2019, Edward became a member of the Law Offices of Anthony S. Cannatella. Before embarking on his legal career, he dedicated fifteen years to the New York theater community as a professional stage manager, director, and actor, participating in local productions and regional tours. He co-founded two theater companies and oversaw the production of numerous shows. Edward is also a published legal author, with his work on establishing justifications for legal standing in civil rights cases related to historical symbols appearing in the 2020 edition of the Michigan Journal of Race and Law.
Edward is authorized to practice law in the State of New York and holds memberships in the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
