Biography
Steven is an experienced litigator with over three decades of experience handling legal disputes in federal and state courts. He has managed a diverse range of cases, such as high-value debt recovery, contract breaches, fraud allegations, and transportation liability issues. Serving clients in various sectors like logistics, insurance, finance, construction, and consumer goods, Steven has led both jury and non-jury trials, presented appeals, and overseen all aspects of complex commercial litigation. Recently, he played a key role as co-lead counsel in a three-week state court trial, resulting in a multi-million dollar win for clients entangled in an investment fraud matter. In a separate recent case, Steven successfully obtained a temporary restraining order from a federal court, preventing a former employee from violating a non-compete agreement. Building a strong case with compelling evidence, Steven convinced the court to issue a contempt order against the ex-employee. Leveraging the injunction and contempt order, Steven negotiated a highly favorable settlement for his client. Additionally, Steven has excelled in representing prominent law firms as counsel for attorney fee collection, with previous clients including trustees for the bankruptcy estates of Thelen LLP, Heller Ehrman LLP, and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.
