Kevin Charles Harp - Profile

Kevin is a junior attorney at the legal practice of Mainetti, Mainetti & O’Connor, P.C. He became a part of the team at Mainetti, Mainetti & O’Connor, P.C., focusing on Personal Injury litigation, Civil Defense, Misdemeanor, and Felony Criminal Defense. Kevin earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University at Albany. Later, he pursued his legal education at Albany Law School, where he served as the Third Year Class President and was a member of a Trial Team that emerged victorious in the Northeast Regional Competition in Rhode Island. Post his Law School graduation, Kevin worked at the firm of Harp & Harp, gaining experience in various legal areas like commercial transactions, matrimonial law, family law, real property law, and estate law. After practicing privately for four years, Kevin closed his practice to join the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office in December 2004. During his tenure there, Kevin honed his skills as a Trial Attorney by handling a wide array of criminal cases. Following three years at the District Attorney’s Office, Kevin was promoted to Senior Assistant, where he was entrusted with overseeing the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team. In this role, Kevin managed drug cases and supervised other attorneys handling drug-related cases within the District Attorney’s Office. Throughout his career as a prosecutor, Kevin has tried more than 20 felony cases, including charges such as murder, assault, gang assault, burglary, robbery, grand larceny, drug offenses, rape, and criminal possession of a weapon. Kevin has successfully handled cases involving circumstantial evidence, a shooting incident where the victim was unavailable for trial, and a cold case burglary trial.
