Biography
Danielle oversees a client-focused legal practice specializing in criminal appeals and post-conviction advocacy. She became part of Kaman, Berlove, Marafioti, Jacobstein & Goldman, LLP, as of counsel in February 2021, following a successful solo practice tenure of three-and-a-half years. Previously, she served as an associate attorney (criminal defense) at Easton Thompson Kasperek Shiffrin LLP, where she also gained expertise in wrongful conviction and civil rights cases. Danielle is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She is actively involved in the Monroe County Bar Association, holding a position on its Board of Trustees and participating in the Solo & Small Practice Committee (Co-Chair, 2019-2021) and the Criminal Justice Section. Danielle is also affiliated with the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Defenders Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys. She graduated with top honors from SUCOL in 2015. During her time in law school, Danielle competed as part of the National Trial Team, was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, served as Secretary of the Justinian Honor Society, acted as a Law Ambassador, and held an editorial role on the Syracuse Law Review. She is a member of Syracuse Law's Chapters of the Order of the Coif and Order of the Barristers, and she has been recognized with awards such as the Robert M. Anderson Publication Award, the Robert W. Miller Trial Advocacy Award, and the Law Ambassador Award, among others. Danielle earned her B.A. (with highest honors) from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2010.
