Biography
Mark I. Cohen started his legal journey in 1985 as an Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the Honorable Mario Merola, Bronx County District Attorney. He worked as a trial lawyer in the White Collar Crime, Rackets, and Investigation Division. Following this, Mr. Cohen worked as a lawyer at Mound Cotton & Wollan, a well-known litigation firm in Manhattan, where he managed complex fraud cases and represented international corporations and individuals facing criminal charges. In the late 1990s, Mr. Cohen decided to establish his own Criminal Defense practice in Manhattan under the name Law Office of Mark I. Cohen. By 1995, he joined Cohen, Frankel & Ruggiero, LLP, a boutique firm specializing in Criminal Defense and Real Estate, where he has been collaborating with Peter M. Frankel, Esq. and Louis J. Ruggiero, Esq. Since 1990, Mr. Cohen has been operating from his office at 20 Vesey Street near the World Trade Center in Manhattan's financial district. His practice involves handling criminal and corporate investigations, criminal litigation in the United States District Courts and New York State Courts, as well as representing clients in administrative litigation against various United States, New York State, and New York City agencies.
