Biography

With extensive experience in litigation, Matthew Mobilia is the lead attorney and creator of The Law Office of Matthew Mobilia. Originally from Staten Island, New York, Mr. Mobilia earned his Bachelor's degree in politics from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, and obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Albany Law School in 2015. He is licensed to practice law in the state of New York. Following law school, Mr. Mobilia served as a prosecutor in New York City, working closely with Richmond County District Attorney Michael E. McMahon. During his time there, he gained hands-on experience in the investigation and prosecution of various criminal cases including homicides, burglaries, DWI offenses, drug crimes, gun crimes, sex offenses, and financial crimes. Mr. Mobilia successfully handled multiple trials, securing convictions as the lead attorney. After four years in the District Attorney's Office, Mobilia transitioned to the role of Associate Court Attorney for Honorable Matthew P. Blum at the Kings County Civil Court. In this position, he managed hearings and trials while also preparing judicial opinions in areas such as No-Fault litigation, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, civil litigation, and small claims. This role provided Mobilia with valuable civil law insights to complement his criminal law background and offered him a firsthand understanding of the judicial decision-making process. In 2022, Mobilia established The Law Office of Matthew Mobilia, merging his expertise in civil and criminal law to assist individuals in the five boroughs facing criminal charges, family court matters, and other civil disputes.
