With a career spanning more than 35 years, Joseph A. O'Shea is a seasoned litigator who has successfully represented clients across various legal domains. His primary focus lies in divorce and matrimonial law, family law matters in family court, and criminal defense cases in the courts of New York and New Jersey. Beyond this, Mr. O'Shea provides counsel on residential and commercial real estate issues, including contract negotiations and property closings. He has also managed plaintiff's personal injury lawsuits with competence and diligence. Prior to establishing his private practice, Mr. O'Shea served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where he handled a multitude of criminal prosecutions and trials. Subsequently, he transitioned to the Staten Island District Attorney's Office, where he was tasked with prosecuting a range of felony cases, including homicides and other serious crimes. Notably, Mr. O'Shea was appointed as the inaugural Supreme Court Bureau Chief during his tenure at the Staten Island District Attorney's Office, a position he held until venturing into private legal practice.
