Biography
"In my representation of clients, I am acutely mindful of the pressures that come with any legal dispute. I strive to alleviate that pressure by maintaining constant availability to address inquiries and preempt potential issues. I take pride in my swift response to phone calls, and I am attuned to the significance of cost considerations in effective legal counsel." My practice centers on various facets of Family Law, encompassing High Net-Worth/High Income Divorce, Child Custody & Visitation, Child Support, Child Relocation, Alimony/Spousal Support/Spousal Maintenance, Property & Financial Assets Division, Same-Sex Divorce & Family Law, Enforcement & Modifications of Judgments, Paternity, Adoption, Domestic Violence & Orders of Protection, Legal Separations, Annulments, Name Changes, Prenuptial & Postnuptial Agreements, Family Law Appeals & Mediation. As a former Staff Attorney at the Pace Women’s Justice Center, I was instrumental in the establishment of Project Deter, a round-the-clock initiative for domestic violence survivors, and played a key role in launching the Family Court Legal Assistance Program. The innovative model of the FCLAP, which offers an integrated support system for domestic violence survivors (from custody petitions to securing child support orders to litigating Family Offenses for protective orders), has been widely adopted and remains active in both the White Plains and Yonkers Family Court. I was a co-author of the Court of Appeals case, In Re: Afton C, a well-received publication that continues to address complex legal issues in appellate court proceedings. In my current solo practice, I continue to specialize in all aspects of Family & Divorce Law and appellate court advocacy. I am a member of the Attorneys for Children Panel of the Appellate Division of the State of New York, 2nd Department, where I routinely represent children in Family and Supreme Court cases.
