Biography
Attorney David Bliven earned his B.A. in Sociology with honors from Syracuse University in 1993. Following his graduation, he served as a judicial intern and statistician at the NYS Commission on City Court Judicial Reallocation under the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Judge. David then pursued his legal education at New York Law School, graduating with honors and ranking among the top 15% of his class. He began his professional career in private practice, focusing primarily on matrimonial law, before transitioning to a role as a prosecutor for nearly 3 years with the NYC Administration for Children's Services. During his tenure, he handled cases involving child support, child abuse/neglect, and foster care on behalf of the City of New York. In 2000, Mr. Bliven established his current practice, emphasizing his commitment to delivering high-quality legal services at reasonable rates. The majority of his practice, around 99%, involves divorce and Family Court matters, with the remaining 1-2% dedicated to police/governmental misconduct cases.
