Matthew Dotzler is a co-founding member of Carden Dotzler Hammond, PLLC and leads the White Collar Defense division. Prior to his private practice, Matthew served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office for a span of seven years. During his tenure, he successfully handled numerous white-collar crime cases at the felony level in the Economic Fraud and Financial Crimes Bureau, including offenses such as embezzlement, forgery, identity theft, tax evasion, counterfeiting, and welfare fraud. Matthew also managed a diverse caseload involving misdemeanor and traffic offenses, including the prosecution of drug and narcotic-related crimes. His time at the District Attorney’s Office provided him with extensive trial experience and allowed him to collaborate closely with local law enforcement, forensic auditors, and financial institutions. Matthew obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
