Biography
After graduating from Albany Law School in 2000, I successfully passed the New York State Bar Exam in 2002. I then commenced my legal career at the Broome County District Attorney’s Office. My initial role involved prosecuting misdemeanors, violations, and traffic cases in local courts. Throughout this period, I managed over 40 misdemeanor jury trials and numerous non-jury traffic and penal law trials, appearing in various courts across Broome County. Within three years, I earned a promotion to Assistant District Attorney II, where I began practicing in the Broome County Court. During my tenure as a prosecutor, I handled approximately 70 jury trials, including 30 felony cases. As a felony prosecutor, I oversaw around ten intricate eavesdropping cases, encompassing offenses from gambling to narcotics conspiracy to murder investigations. In 2008, I advanced to the role of Senior Assistant District Attorney and Supervisor of local court attorneys at the District Attorney’s Office. In this capacity, I directly managed all prosecutors handling misdemeanor and traffic cases in Broome County's local courts. Over the course of my prosecutorial career, I tackled a wide array of cases, from DWI offenses to severe assaults, and even cases involving murder and arson. I specialized in prosecuting Felony DWI cases, dealing with the most severe instances. Additionally, I handled several appeals presented to the Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, covering charges such as Murder, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, and Perjury. I have conducted training sessions for local law enforcement officers at the Police Academy, Peace Officer Academy, and police supervisor’s school. Furthermore, I have delivered lectures on Driving While Intoxicated topics at the New York State Prosecutors Training Institute.
