Biography
Grace Cathryn Cretcher is a seasoned attorney specializing in employment and civil rights law, dedicated to advocating for those who are marginalized and seeking justice. She brings a wealth of experience in advocating for women's and LGBT rights, with a strong track record in representing clients before state and federal agency tribunals. Grace is well-versed in constitutional, federal, and state civil rights law, as well as wage-and-hour class action litigation. With over 8 years of litigation experience, she has represented clients in diverse federal and state cases across New York and New Jersey, and provided guidance to attorneys and firms nationwide on federal litigation matters. Notably, Grace played a key role in the case Krupa et al. v. Badolato et al. in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, leading to the extension of mandated insurance coverage for infertility treatment to women without male partners in New Jersey. She previously served as a federal law clerk for Judge Timothy S. Black of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, contributing to groundbreaking opinions that struck down Ohio's ban on same-sex marriages, a decision later affirmed by the U.S. Supreme Court in Obergefell v. Hodges.
