Biography
With over four decades of active legal practice, I have extensive experience handling a wide range of matters in the Estates, Trusts, and Probate field within Surrogates Court, as well as addressing Guardianship and Elder Law issues in Supreme Court. I am a proud member of the New York City Bar and New York State Bar Trusts/Estates Committee, as well as the Elder Law Committee, where I serve as the Co-Chairman of the Ethics Committee. Additionally, I am a part of the Referral Attorney Panel specializing in Trusts/Estates and Elder Law for the New York City Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and the Brooklyn Bar Association. I also hold a distinguished position as one of the select members on the New York City Bar Association Law Referral Committee. Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Uptown Inter-Agency Council on Aging (UIC) and have previously been a Board of Director Member of both the East Side Council On Aging (ESCOTA) and West side Council on Aging (WSIACA). I also co-chaired the Subcommittee on Elder Abuse alongside former Judge John Stackhouse of the Supreme Court. Moreover, I have achieved the rank of Captain in the New York Guard Reserve Judge Advocate General Unit, specializing in Wills and Estates, and dedicate pro bono time one Saturday a month to provide legal assistance to servicemen on their journey to Europe, the Middle East, and retired military personnel at Fort Hamilton in Kings County. Recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in the areas of Trusts/Estates, Elder Law, and Estate Planning/Probate, I recently led a continuing legal education seminar for the Brooklyn Bar Association on "Current Issues in Estate Planning and Probate." My practice focuses on Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Proxies, and all Advance Directives, offering clients the option to either visit my office or have consultations in the comfort of their own homes, with adherence to all Covid protocols.
