Biography

Graig enhances the range of legal services available to residents in the Capital Region at Tully Rinckey PLLC. He was brought on board to bolster the firm's real estate practice group. Graig represents individual real estate owners, real estate developers, and financial institutions in their real estate transactions. His comprehensive understanding of the loan process allows the firm to guide both individual and corporate clients through the closing process. Graig offers legal representation in various real estate matters, including closings, title disputes, title insurance, contracts, zoning issues, variances, property transfers, inheritances, lease disagreements, and adverse possession situations. In addition to his real estate work, Graig also provides estate planning services, including will and trust preparation. He assists small businesses with asset acquisitions and corporate formations, and offers counsel in foreclosure and bankruptcy litigation. Graig also practices civil litigation and employment law, representing both employers and employees in cases involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Graig founded The Zappia Law Firm as well as the in-house title company, Prosperity Title Agency. In 2009, he established this general practice law firm with a focus on real estate, small business, and litigation. Before launching his own firm, Graig worked as an associate attorney at law firms in Upstate New York, located in Rochester, Clifton Park, and Latham. Graig is admitted to practice in all courts of New York State, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western and Northern Districts. He is an active member of the New York State and Albany County Bar Associations. Graig earned his juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, NY. During his time at Albany Law, he was involved in the appellate advocacy team, serving as a coach and executive board member of the Moot Court Program, and also worked as an article editor for the Environmental Outlook law journal. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Siena College. Graig resides in Cohoes with his wife, Kendra, and their English bulldog, Mookie. Outside of work, Graig enjoys running, golfing, and supporting the Siena Saints. He actively participates in the Latham Rotary Club, the Siena College Pre-Law Mentoring program, and has previously coached the Mechanicville Assumption/St. Paul CYO basketball team.
