Biography
Specializing in employment law, Erdal Turnacioglu focuses his legal practice on matters related to the workplace. With extensive experience in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, Erdal has always been fueled by a deep interest in employment law. Following his time at law school, he gained valuable experience working in-house at a prominent insurance company in New York City, where he handled cases involving motor vehicle accident defense. Despite this initial foray into the legal field, Erdal remained steadfast in his aspiration to assist individuals and businesses with their employment-related legal needs. In 2010, Erdal participated in a seminar titled “How to Handle an Employment Discrimination Claim,” during which a federal magistrate judge emphasized the significance of employment in shaping one’s identity. This sentiment became Erdal’s guiding principle and a central component of his professional ethos. Subsequently, in 2014, Erdal transitioned to a plaintiff's side employment law firm, representing clients in a variety of matters across the State and Federal Courts in New York and New Jersey, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the States' Divisions on Human Rights. In both 2015 and 2019, Erdal shifted gears to the defense side of employment disputes, advocating for medical providers such as RWJBarnabas Health and University Hospital, as well as defending public entities against claims brought by public officials and employees. In 2022, Erdal established Erdal Employment Law, a firm dedicated to offering comprehensive employment solutions to both employees and businesses. Whether through litigation, employee handbook reviews, workplace investigations, or training seminars, Erdal is enthusiastic about the opportunities to support others in this new chapter of his legal career.
