Robert is a co-founding attorney at the Law Firm, bringing over twenty-seven (27) years of legal expertise to his practice. He earned his degree from St. John’s University in 1987 and subsequently graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in 1990. After completing his law studies, Robert commenced his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney (“ADA”) with the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. During his tenure as an ADA, he held various roles in different bureaus including the Intake Bureau, Criminal Court Bureau, Appeals Bureau, Homicide Investigations Bureau, and the Supreme Court Trial Bureau. Robert handled a multitude of evidentiary hearings, investigated numerous homicide cases, prosecuted a wide array of felonies, and successfully tried over twenty (20) felony cases to verdict. He also played a pivotal role in more than twenty (20) appeals at the Appellate Division, Second Department, and was a lead attorney in the prosecution of a high-profile homicide case involving a sexually sadistic serial killer profiled by the FBI. Currently, Robert is deeply involved in handling a significant portion of the firm’s litigation matters, showcasing his exceptional legal skills and dedication to his clients. Some of the notable cases he has worked on include: Brown et. al. v. Medicis - (D.O.C.) Title VII gender discrimination and hostile environment class action representing 225 women, settled for $7,150,000; Indergit v. Rite Aid - (S.D.N.Y.) (FLSA and NYLL Store Manager Misclassification Case - settled for $5,500,000; Kudo v. Panda Express - (S.D.N.Y.) (FLSA misclassification class of 155 opt-ins, settled for $2,975,000); “PPA Cases” – (SDNY) Representation of Parking Production Assistants (“PPAs”) who worked on various film and television productions for major studios in New York area, resulting in twelve settlements totaling approximately $30,000,000; Roberts et. al. v. TJX, (D. Mass.) (Nationwide (ex. CA) FLSA misclassification case settled with co-counsel, training claims for $4,750,000; and the overall FLSA and NYLL misclassification case for an additional $31,500,000.
