Michele Lyn Babcock - NY Lawyer Dictionary Profile

Michele L. Babcock serves as the Managing Partner at the firm. Michele began her tenure at Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP in 2003 and ascended to the position of Partner in 2011. Michele has provided legal counsel to local governments, municipal officials, and private applicants in matters concerning zoning, land use, environmental permitting, and litigation. Ms. Babcock gained admission to the New York State Bar in March 2004 and holds memberships in the New York State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar of Orange and Sullivan Counties. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Law and Justice at the State University of New York at Cortland in 2000. Ms. Babcock obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2003. During her time in law school, she undertook studies at the Faculte de Droit de I’Universite de Nice under the guidance of the Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, United States Supreme Court Justice. Ms. Babcock actively contributes to the board of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum.
