Tricia E. Connolly - Lawyer | Juris Doctor | Master of Business Administration | Former NYPD Detective Sergeant | Veteran of the Marine CorpsTricia "Trish" Connolly has devoted twenty years of her career to serving the diverse neighborhoods of New York City with the NYPD. She also spent over a decade as a dedicated officer in the United States Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Major. Today, she is deeply committed to making legal services not only affordable but also easily accessible to all those she assists, aiming to have a positive impact on their lives.Trish began her law enforcement journey patrolling the 13th Precinct in Manhattan before being transferred to the 79th Precinct in Brooklyn upon her promotion to sergeant. She undertook combat missions in Afghanistan, Bahrain, and Jordan during her service with the Marines.She spent almost eight years in the Force Investigation Division (FID), where she investigated incidents of police-involved shootings and civilian deaths before and after police custody. During this period, she was promoted to the role of Sergeant Detective Squad Supervisor.While working with FID, Trish pursued her legal education on a part-time basis, successfully completing her studies at Seton Hall School of Law in May 2023. She passed the NYS bar exam in July 2023, achieving a top 5% national ranking, and obtained her license to practice law in New York in December 2023.As a Sergeant Detective, Trish transitioned to the Manhattan Special Victims Squad (known as DUN DUN), where she supervised and contributed to the investigations, prosecutions, and resolutions of sexual offenses in Manhattan.Since December 2024, Trish has been serving in the NYPD's Equal Employment Opportunity Division within the Police Commissioner's Office. In this role, she handles EEO complaints, tirelessly striving to bring about positive change within the NYPD and promote a fair and just workplace environment for all.
