Biography
Mr. Falcone possesses extensive expertise in estate planning for families of all demographics and financial backgrounds, Medicaid Asset Protection for the elderly, Special Needs planning for individuals with disabilities, and Guardianships for those who are incapacitated. He is highly knowledgeable in the preparation and submission of Medicaid applications for both nursing home care and community-based home care throughout the state of New York. Additionally, he drafts and executes both simple and intricate wills and trusts for his clientele. Mr. Falcone holds certifications as a New York State Guardian, Court Evaluator, and Attorney for a Guardian. He is also accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Mr. Falcone is actively involved in various committees including the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Veterans, Tax Committee, Elder Law, and Trusts & Estates. Furthermore, he is a member of the Elder Law and Trusts and Estates Committees at the Suffolk County Bar Association, as well as the National and New York Care Planning Councils. He also serves on the Executive Board of the Suffolk County Estate Planning Council. Mr. Falcone graduated with Distinction from Iona College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and earned his Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law. During his time in law school, he interned at the prestigious Main Street Legal Services Elder Law Clinic at CUNY Law School, which consistently ranks among the top four elder law clinics nationwide. Long Island Business News recognized Mr. Falcone as "One To Watch" in 2011, and he was honored as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers. He was also named among the "10 Best Attorneys in New York" by the American Institute of Legal Counsel. Mr. Falcone is Peer Rated in Martindale Hubbell and has been featured as an expert guest on 103.9 LI News Radio to discuss elder law matters. He has delivered numerous lectures on Medicaid Law for the Elder Law Clinic students at the City University of New York School of Law. Mr. Falcone proudly served in the United States Navy from 1986-1999.
