Biography
I began my legal career by volunteering as an attorney with various pro bono initiatives in New York City, such as Access to Justice (handling landlord-tenant and consumer debt cases in court, providing family law consultations) and the Volunteer Foreclosure Project sponsored by the Queens County Bar Association (focusing on foreclosure settlement conferences). Through these programs, I acquired valuable experience before venturing into solo practice in 2010, initially specializing in landlord-tenant and consumer debt cases. I have also served as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for numerous cases across the boroughs. Over time, my practice expanded to encompass family law, foreclosure defense, and guardianship matters under Article 81 for adults. Additionally, I have tackled a handful of criminal defense cases and more recently collaborated with colleagues on federal cases, particularly in prisoner litigation, employment issues, and constitutional law matters with a special focus on religious freedom. I am dedicated to upholding the principles of ethical legal practice and making a positive impact on the broader community. The overwhelming number of individuals navigating the legal system without adequate representation has spurred me to strive for justice and fairness. My goal is to be a reliable support system for those in need, and if I am unable to address a specific legal concern, I am committed to guiding them towards the appropriate resources.
