Robert S. Iwrey - Profile

ROBERT S. IWREY is one of the founding partners at The Health Law Partners, P.C. He graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988. During his time at the University of Michigan, he held a leadership position in the Psi Chi National Honor Society and was a distinguished member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. In 1993, Mr. Iwrey obtained his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where he was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing and recognized as an outstanding member of Moot Court. Mr. Iwrey has been actively involved in litigation practice since 1993 and has specialized in healthcare transactional law since 1999. He offers legal guidance across various aspects of healthcare law, encompassing licensure, staff privileges, contract matters, physician practice issues, healthcare investigations, and audit defense. Mr. Iwrey was admitted to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan in 1993, followed by the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan in 2003, and the New York Bar in 2009. He is an esteemed member of the State Bar of Michigan, where he actively participates in the Health Care Law Section, as well as the State Bar of New York's Health Law Section. Additionally, Mr. Iwrey is affiliated with professional organizations such as the American Health Lawyer's Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and the Oakland County Bar Association. He was elected by his peers to serve on the governing board of the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section (HCLS), Council from 2005 to 2011, during which he held the position of Treasurer for two consecutive terms and led the Pro–Bono Work Group. Mr. Iwrey also contributed to various committees, including the Oakland County Medical –Legal Committee, HCLS Website Committee, and Technology Subcommittee of the HCLS' Substantive Law Committee. Recognized for his outstanding legal acumen, Mr. Iwrey has been honored with the distinguished AV rating by Martindale–Hubbell, named a SuperLawyer in Health Care since 2004, and acknowledged as a Fellow by the HCLS.
