Carey F. Kalmowitz is one of the founding partners at The Health Law Partners, P.C. After completing his legal education at New York University Law School in 1994 and earning his undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 1989, Mr. Kalmowitz was admitted to the Michigan Bar. His legal practice spans various aspects of healthcare law, with a focus on the corporate and financial facets of the industry. This includes facilitating revenue-boosting transactions between physicians and other healthcare entities, navigating certificate of need requirements, conducting compliance investigations, addressing corporate fraud and abuse issues, ensuring Stark Law compliance, and managing third-party payment and reimbursement matters. In addition, Mr. Kalmowitz offers legal counsel in the following healthcare law domains:
- Providing guidance to physicians and physician groups on integration strategies, ancillary services, employment agreements, recruitment agreements, shareholder agreements, buy-ins, buy-outs, compliance matters, third-party payor audits, and negotiating joint ventures and hospital relationships.
