Biography

With a legal career that commenced in 2012 post his graduation from NY Law School, I specialize in assisting immigrants in securing legal status in the United States, providing defense for individuals facing removal (deportation), and handling appellate cases at both the agency level and Federal Courts. My clientele includes immigrants seeking to enter the US, individuals bringing family members to the country, as well as those who have resided in the US for an extended period without legal status or are at risk of losing their status. Many of my clients find themselves in immigration court due to a range of criminal issues, spanning from minor traffic violations to severe felonies like drug trafficking, money laundering, attempted murder, or terrorism. The majority of my clients lack a criminal record or past immigration violations and are confronting immigration challenges solely based on their place of birth. Driven by a deep passion for my work, I firmly believe that all individuals should be treated equally by the Government regardless of their place of birth, and the law should not be manipulated to justify the unnecessary separation or harm to immigrant families. Hailing from New York, a city established by immigrants and home to the iconic 305-foot-tall statue symbolizing liberty and the welcoming of immigrants, I vigorously advocate for my clients to enable them to chase the American dream. I actively volunteer with the Safe Passage Project, offering legal aid to unaccompanied minors at the US/Mexico border, and engage in pro bono legal research for family court matters through NY Legal Aid. In 2018 and 2019, I had the privilege of serving as a Judge at the NYU Law International Immigration Moot Court Competition. Additionally, in October 2020, Touro Law School invited me to participate in a panel discussion on immigration law alongside an Immigration Judge and three law school professors. Recognized by Thomson Reuters as a Super Lawyers Rising Star consecutively from 2017 to 2020, I have been acknowledged for my expertise, skills, and standing within the legal community.
