Elektra B. Yao, Esq. is the founder and lead attorney at Yao Law Group, a comprehensive immigration law practice. Yao Law Group provides personalized immigration legal services, tailored to each individual client. Recognizing the uniqueness of every client, we collaborate closely to create strong and customized legal petitions for sustainable success in the immigration process. With a diverse background, Elektra is proficient in French, Italian, and Spanish, stemming from her immigrant heritage from Italy and Cote D’Ivoire. She has gained experience living, studying, and working in various countries including the US, EU, and Africa, enabling her to connect on both linguistic and cultural levels with her clients. Elektra holds a BA from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC and has a background in film, television, and theater. She later obtained her JD from Lewis and Clark Law School, further expanding her legal expertise. Her international exposure includes studying at Queen Mary University in London, Peking Law School in China, Sorbonne University in Paris, and earning Certificates in Comparative Law in Florence. Additionally, she received specialized training in Chinese Business law and Eastern European Law. With years of experience at respected immigration law firms in NYC, Elektra has honed her skills in employment-based and family-based immigration law, successfully assisting clients in obtaining visas and green cards for artists, professionals, and families.
