Biography

Stephen Glen Schiesel, one of the founding partners at Pecoraro & Schiesel, was born in the vibrant city of New York in 1960. He earned his B.A., graduating with honors, from Columbia University in New York, a J.D. from Fordham Law School, and an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple Law School. During his time at Columbia University, he was elected to the Psi Chi National Honor Society and was consistently recognized on the Dean's List. Stephen is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut. Additionally, he is authorized to appear before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Continuing education has played a crucial role in Stephen's professional development post-law school. He successfully completed a 500-hour advanced intensive trial advocacy program at the National College of Advocacy in Washington, D.C., where he achieved the highest designation of Diplomat. Stephen has dedicated his time to pro bono work throughout his career. He has imparted trial advocacy and moot court skills to high school students in underprivileged neighborhoods of New York City and has represented mentally ill individuals in legal proceedings. Stephen's exceptional legal acumen has been recognized through various accolades. He was honored as a "New York Super Lawyers" listee in both 2009 and 2010, a title bestowed upon the top 5 percent of lawyers in New York as selected by their peers and Reuters News Service.
