Biography
An ex-publishing professional & media studies lecturer, I now lead a specialized entertainment, interactive/new media, and art law firm at Wood Media Law. Alongside my Juris Doctor degree (Cardozo), I hold a Doctorate in Cultural & Critical Studies (U. of Pittsburgh). I have also pursued advanced studies in international media law & policy (at Oxford). Prior to my academic pursuits, I completed my undergraduate studies in Philadelphia (U. of Pennsylvania) and engaged in work & studies in Montréal (at McGill). Throughout my legal career, I have held diverse roles in the entertainment and communications sectors, ranging from regulatory compliance at the Entertainment Software Rating Board to a research fellowship at London's Stanhope Centre for Communications Policy Research. Before establishing my own practice, I was affiliated with a specialty entertainment law practice in Tribeca. While my primary office is situated in the Film Center in Hell's Kitchen, I frequently meet with clients in the Hudson Valley region. At Wood Media Law, we aim for balanced legal solutions that cater specifically to the needs of creative individuals and ventures.
