Biography

Nikki completed her undergraduate studies at Mississippi University for Women, earning her Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2013. She also pursued her Bachelor's degree in History at Missouri University of Science & Technology, graduating summa cum laude in 2015. Nikki achieved her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2018, specializing in Entertainment & Sports Law. During her time at law school, Nikki was an active member of the Mississippi Law Journal, Federal Courts Law Review, and Mississippi Sports Law Review. She was honored to be part of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and served as the President of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity. Nikki participated in numerous extracurricular activities such as the Entertainment Law Organization, the Recording Academy, the Sports Law Organization, and Women in Law. Following her graduation, Nikki worked as a federal judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jimmy L. Croom at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Tennessee for the 2018-2019 term. Nikki furthered her legal education by obtaining an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from Cardozo School of Law in 2020, where she actively engaged with the Fashion Law Society, Art Law Society, Entertainment Law Society, Sports Law Society, and OUTlaw. Additionally, Nikki contributed as a textbook editor for Barbara Kolsun and Douglas Hand’s The Business and Law of Fashion and Retail. She has been recognized for her scholarship, having two articles published - "Bad Blood": Reconciling the Recording Industry and Copyright Protections on the Internet in the 19th Volume of the Florida Coastal Law Review in 2019; and "All the Truth I Could Tell": A Discussion of Title VII’s Potential Impact on Systemic Entertainment Industry Victimization in the 25th Volume of the University of California Los Angeles Women’s Law Journal in 2018. Nikki is a licensed attorney in New York State, specializing in entertainment and intellectual property law.
