Biography
Nicola C. Richards is a lawyer at the Sanders Law Group, specializing in advocating for clients in consumer protection matters related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”). Before joining Sanders Law Group, Ms. Richards gained experience as a paralegal handling insurance claims for credit cards, mortgages, and loans. She also interned at Nassau County’s social services department, where she handled cases for daily Fair Hearings. Additionally, Ms. Richards dedicated her time to collaborating with Lawyers Helping Our Community (LHOC) to support businesses in the Asian American community in Chicago, IL during the pandemic. Her work included guiding start-up companies through the LLC process, assessing risk exposure, reviewing liability, drafting contracts, and assisting with the appeals process for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) applications with the city of Chicago.
