Biography
Richard is the head of Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP's maritime and transportation law division. Before joining the firm, Richard had a distinguished career in the U.S. Coast Guard for more than 20 years, overseeing numerous marine casualty investigations and licensing matters involving merchant mariners. He retired from active duty with the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR). Richard also gained valuable experience as in-house legal counsel for Global Liberty Insurance Co. of New York, managing cases related to motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, property damage, and premises liability. During his tenure as an associate at Rubin Fiorella & Friedman, Richard successfully handled a wide range of admiralty and maritime disputes, including vessel casualties, liability defense, mariner licensing, property/vessel damage, and personal injury.
