Biography

Currently, Kathryn is a consultant at Levene Gouldin & Thompson, LLP. She specializes in the medical malpractice sector. She also offers guidance to clients, both employers and employees, on various aspects of labor and employment law, such as drafting employment contracts and manuals, handling disputes through mediation, arbitration, trials, appeals, and administrative hearings. Additionally, she provides counsel on general litigation issues. Previously, Kathryn focused primarily on military law, managing cases involving Article 15s, letters of reprimand, courts-martial, security clearance, and officer/enlisted separation procedures. She also managed discrimination complaints at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Kathryn previously served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia, litigating federal civil cases against the Department of Defense, including medical malpractice, federal employment matters, and petitions before the Army and Navy Boards for Correction of Records. Kathryn commenced her professional journey at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Initially commissioned as a military intelligence officer, she later shifted her career path towards the legal field. In her capacity as trial counsel in the 3rd Infantry Division, Kathryn prosecuted courts-martial as the lead government attorney in numerous criminal cases. She also held the position of senior legal officer at Camp Humphreys in the Republic of Korea and served as a Trial Defense Counsel, representing soldiers in contested courts-martial, administrative separation boards, and Article 15 proceedings. Kathryn also functioned as the deputy judge staff advocate at the 7th Joint Multinational Training Command in Germany, overseeing all legal operations within the 90-person Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. Moreover, she established and managed a trial advocacy program for military prosecutors.
