Biography
Kathleen is the head of the medical malpractice department at WRSH. She is a former registered nurse with a successful track record representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice lawsuits throughout her career. Kathleen has resolved, mediated, and litigated numerous cases, including securing a $12 million settlement for a child injured at birth and a $10 million settlement for a failure to diagnose sepsis case. Her experience also covers cases involving failure to diagnose cancer, stroke, acute coronary syndromes, and various other medical malpractice claims. She was part of the legal team representing the estate of artist Andy Warhol, reaching a settlement just before trial. Kathleen has shared her expertise through lectures at institutions such as Columbia School of Dentistry, The American Association of Nurse Attorneys, and Fordham Law School. She has also addressed large groups of nurses on topics related to the legal aspects of nursing practice in New York. In her role as Chair of the Committee on Lawyer Alcoholism and Substance Abuse at the NYCBA, she successfully advocated for the establishment of a fully staffed Lawyers Assistance Program. This program has provided support to numerous attorneys, judges, law students, and their families.
