Biography
Larita Yusuf is a seasoned litigator and a licensed patent attorney. Specializing in intellectual property law, she has assisted innovators in securing design patents through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the African Regional Intellectual Property Office (ARIPO), as well as registering their original creations with the U.S. Copyright Office. Larita obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Francis Marion University. During her time in law school, she served as a federal judicial intern in the District of South Carolina and gained experience as a patent legal intern at a specialized intellectual property law firm in North Carolina. She is authorized to practice law in the states of New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Larita has previously worked as a patent examiner at the USPTO and also took on the role of an Attorney Facilitator for North Carolina Central University’s Intellectual Property Bootcamp, where she led workshops on intellectual property education. An advocate for the performing arts and a published children’s book author, Larita is dedicated to safeguarding and advocating for the rights of creators. Leveraging her expertise in intellectual property law and her background in litigation, Larita strategically enforces her clients’ intellectual property rights.
