Biography
With a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in semiconductors and a strong engineering background, I bring extensive experience as a Patent Attorney. Throughout my career, I have supported inventors, startups, and established companies in safeguarding, enforcing, and capitalizing on their intellectual property. My unique blend of technical and legal knowledge enables me to provide strategic and outcome-driven advice on intellectual property matters, empowering my clients to stand out in competitive markets. My professional background includes serving as a U.S. Patent Examiner and a Digital Design Engineer, which has afforded me a deep comprehension of patent law intricacies. My legal practice covers a wide range of activities, from drafting and prosecuting patent applications to handling re-examinations, IP litigation, patent infringement matters, and preparing patentability opinion letters, demand letters, and due diligence assessments.I also offer counsel on intellectual property licensing, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, as well as addressing issues related to unfair competition and deceptive advertising. I am licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, the United States District Court of New Jersey, and the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).Academically, I earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, in 2003. I pursued a Ph.D. in Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology, while holding an MSEE from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL, achieved in 1993, and a BSEE from Bridgeport Engineering Institute in Bridgeport, CT, obtained in 1986.My contributions to the field include various publications and presentations on intellectual property. I am a co-author of “The need for signal claims” in IDEA: The Intellectual Property Law Review and the author of several books such as "The Value of Your Idea$", “Do You Want To Be A Digital Entrepreneur," and "The App Developers’ Guide To Protecting Your Intellectual Property.”
