Ronald Barry Orlando - Profile

Born and raised on Long Island, Ronald “Ron” Orlando has been a part of the Capital District community since 1984. He obtained his Juris Doctor from St. Johns’ University School of Law in 1982 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from New York Institute of Technology, achieving summa cum laude honors in 1979. Admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983, Ron also gained admission to the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York in 1989 and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1992. He is affiliated with various legal organizations including the New York Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, The Capital District Women’s Bar Association, and the Albany County Bar Association. Ron has been actively involved with The Legal Project, serving on the Board of Directors and holding the position of President from 2007 to 2008. Throughout his career, Ron has been honored with several awards, such as the President’s Pro Bono Service Attorney Award from the New York State Bar Association in 2005 and recognition as an Empire State Counsel for Pro Bono services in 2008.
