Biography

Charles “Chas” Farcher is an alumnus of the College of Saint Rose, where he participated in an accelerated law program that enabled him to finish his undergraduate studies a year ahead of schedule. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School in 2007 and was officially admitted to the New York State Bar in 2008, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 2010, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York in 2013. Chas initiated his legal profession at the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division’s Third Department, where he was involved in drafting decisions for the Appellate Court and served as a clerk in chambers under the guidance of the Honorable Karen K. Peters. Subsequently, Chas transitioned to a role at the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, where he was responsible for litigating cases against judicial individuals facing allegations of ethical misconduct. Upon an opportunity arising at Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP, Chas eagerly accepted the position, expressing his satisfaction in working directly with clients after his tenure with the state, stating that “it feels great to have actual clients, people who I can connect with, relate to and try to help work through their injuries and legal problems.” In his personal time, Chas finds pleasure in snowboarding during the winter months and participating in rugby matches with the Albany Law School Alumni rugby team in the warmer seasons.
